I am a Spanish painter born in Madrid in 1.956. In 1.982 I got the Bachelor’s degree in sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid. I owe my technique in oil painting to my academic training, although I have increasingly explored pastel, which I find more direct, spontaneous, and provides the opportunity for “unrivalled delicacy”. In fact, for many years now, it’s the medium I use the most. Later, however, I have returned to use the oil again in my work, thus producing a mutually enriching dialogue between the two techniques. .I have been living on the Costa Brava since 1987, a luminous and peaceful setting on the Mediterranean for my studio. It is certainly this luminosity one of the features that prevails in my art. Another distinctive characteristic of my style is the respect for drawing, in my opinion the core and support of painting.
